This year, it’s celebration time at PayByLink—we’re marking our 10th anniversary!

Ten years ago, PayByLink started with just an idea, presented in a simple PowerPoint to a potential client. The reaction? “I want this!” There was no working product yet—just a concept on paper. But within three months, the foundation of PayByLink was built—and from there, things took off quickly. Year after year, PayByLink has grown. The number of payment links sent has steadily increased, and at the start of 2023, we reached an impressive milestone: our customers had collectively collected over €1 billion through our payment links. And the growth didn’t slow down—by mid-2024, the total had already reached €1.5 billion!

This success is not just a milestone for us, but especially for the businesses, institutions, and organizations that use PayByLink. Thanks to our payment links, they receive their payments up to three times faster than with traditional invoices. Do fun things with the Rotterdampas
210,000 people hold a Rotterdampas, giving them access to free or discounted activities in and around Rotterdam. Each year, they have the option to renew their pass. Since 2022, Rotterdampas has made that process easier using PayByLink. Communications Advisor Maciel Toorenvliet explains: “PayByLink helps us serve our pass holders better and gives us more insight into how they pay”
