The growth of Suitable

Suitable is a retail chain specializing in mid-range men’s fashion. The chain stands out with its own brand, ‘Suitable’, offering stylish menswear at an affordable price. Own platform, targeted security

Pieter-Jan started about 17 years ago as an intern and has been involved in online development from the very beginning. Suitable deliberately chose to build its own e-commerce platform instead of using an existing system: “We develop and maintain our own platform with in-house developers and make carefully considered choices. That’s why IT is so important to us—we need systems and solutions like Trust Guard to ensure our platform remains secure.”

Prevention is better than cure

In 2023, Suitable decided to implement Trust Guard website security. There were several reasons behind this choice: “Prevention is better than cure. For example, we want to avoid a data breach, as our customer information must remain safe. A hack is also something we absolutely want to prevent—you don’t want your online business to grind to a halt. And of course, we want to comply with laws and regulations. That’s why we were looking for a reliable monitoring system that is also easy to use.”

Clear dashboard

Pieter-Jan uses Trust Guard as a practical dashboard to quickly see whether action is needed: “I regularly check how things are going and whether everything is in the green. If there are issues or threats, I’ll see it in time thanks to the orange and red alerts, and we resolve those internally.” Trust Guard offers the monitoring Suitable was looking for, without unnecessary complexity: “The system easily scans our entire platform, giving us a clear overview of our security status.”

Fast support

Fast service is also crucial for a company that relies heavily on e-commerce for its revenue. Pieter-Jan can count on that: “I have great contact with Trust Guard, direct and fast. Just last week I needed help logging in, and I was assisted immediately.” Would Pieter-Jan recommend Trust Guard to other e-commerce businesses? “Yes, absolutely. Trust Guard works well, is easy to use, and the communication is quick and pleasant.”
